Timeline

1. On November 7 - PWD Official Race Kit are handed out

2. November 7 through December 4 - Scouts draw car designs on the pine wood

3. On December 5 - Scouts return cars with designs drawn (if you can't make this date, please turn in early)

4. On December 12 - Scouts receive the cut cars back

5. On January 23 - Plan to turn in completed cars on this date.

6. January 25 - Final car inspection. Cars can be turned in that were not turned in on January 23.

7. No entries will be accepted after 5:00 PM on February 1

8. February 7 - Pinewood Derby Race

9. April 18 - Race against the best - Sweetwater district race

10. TBD - Race against the best - NEGA council race at 2026 Scout Show

Final Car Inspections on January 25

1. 1. Arrive by 1:00 if you haven’t yet finished your car - you will receive help.

   2. Turn in cars.

   3. Weigh cars.

   4. Final tunes (e.g. weight)

Our PWD on February 7 follows the same rules as the NEGA Council regional race rules.
