We are closely monitoring the weather conditions in Gainesville
The camping trip is planned to proceed rain or shine
Please bring weather appropriate clothes such as raincoat, umbrealla, hat, etc.
If there is severe weather making the camping trip hazardous, we will cancel the trip
For scouts who have already paid the "Pack Dues"/Activity fee, there is no additional charge
For all others, such as parents or additional siblings, the fee is $15/person
No payment is needed for children aged 5 or less

On Friday night, every family is responsible for their own dinner
You are responsible for your own leftovers including safe storage away from wildlife
On Saturday, breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be served (included)
On Sunday, breakfast will be served (included)
Friday you may come dressed in regular clothes
Saturday scouts will be in class A uniform
Sunday scouts can wear class B (t-shirt) uniform
Wear close toed shoes with a sturdy bottom, preferably hiking shoes
Considering bringing an extra change of clothes, just in case

T-shirts will be handed out during check-in for those who ordered on or before April 30, 2025.
We have camp sites 6, 7, and 8 as well as the Craft Shack A and B
Camp sites do not have electricity, so you may want to bring your own power bank
No RV parking at the camp sites and there is no hookup for electricity
If you want to camp in your car, SUV, or minivan you can park in the parking lot
Camp sites will be assigned based on the following:
Site 6 is for den leaders, groups with scouts kindergarten (youngest child), and groups with no adult male
Site 7 is for groups with first and second graders (youngest child)
Site 8 is for groups with third, fourth, and fifth graders (youngest child)
It is not unusual to see wildlife at Scoutland. Sometimes we see deers, birds, raccons, etc.
Remember to learn about the wild animals and know how to react when you encounter them. Never feed the wild animals.
Never keep food in your tent, or leave it out in the open.
Always pack away food in your car.
Additional family members can join the camping trip under certain conditions:

Additional family members, other than the registered scout are subject to $15 fee per person
